How To Care For Your New Board 🌴

Taking care of your resin board is super easy, and we’ve added a simple list of do’s & dont’s to keep your board looking pristine. 

Do;

- Wash your board over with a sponge and warm soapy water. You do not want to leave it submerge as water may cause the wood to expand and the resin to lift.

- Dry your board with a tea towel and leave to air dry.

- Do oil your board to keep in strong and vibrant. You will know when your board needs a recoil as it will look start looking a bit dull. We love Gillys Orange oil. It is plant based and food safe, plus it smells divine! You can purchase this online or from your local Bunnings. 

- Gently wipe the resin part of your board over with a damp cloth, you can even add a wee bit of diluted glass clear to keep it super shiny!

Do not;

- Use vegetable oil or olive oil to oil your board as these can go rancid and start to smell.

- Do not leave your board soaking in water

- Do not put your resin board or resin of any kind in the dishwasher!

- Do not cut directly into the resin, resin is quite hardy, but chopping directly on the resin will cause it to scratch.

- Do not leave your resin product outside or in direct sunlight for extended periods of time as this will cause your resin to discolour due to too much UV light.
